Holland Paraat 1. Equipment of the Dutch army 1939-1940

In May 1940, the Dutch field army was confronted with a powerful enemy, who managed to break the army's resistance within five days. In this photo book, the authors highlight the equipment with which the Dutch army went into battle. A quantity of weapons and vehicles that included both self-made designs and foreign equipment, with newly acquired weapons being used alongside completely outdated ones. The photos in this photo book therefore cover a longer period of time than just that of the mobilization and the battle in May 1940, but as a whole they do provide a good overview of the equipment with which the Dutch army faced the German invader.
