Background information
The 2A6 is a modernised (Kampfwertsteigerung I) of the existing tanks and has a longer Lang 55 cannon, optional auxiliary engine, improved protection against mines and the choice of an airco. The first of 225 where deliverd to Germany in March, as an improvement of the 160 older 2A5's and 65 A4's. The Netherlands, Greece, Spain and Sweden also order these modification at the time.
